Glucose Smash ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Health Data

Glucose Smash connects to LibreLinkUp to access your glucose readings. This health data includes:

• Glucose measurements
• Timestamps of readings
• Trend information

This data is stored locally on your device and is used solely to display your glucose history and calculate achievements within the app.

Login Credentials

To connect to LibreLinkUp, you provide your LibreLinkUp username and password. These credentials are:

• Stored securely in your device's keychain
• Used only to authenticate with LibreLinkUp servers
• Never transmitted to our servers or any third party

App Settings

We store your app preferences locally on your device, including:

• Target glucose range
• Goal settings
• Display preferences (units, etc.)

Anonymous Analytics

We collect minimal anonymous usage statistics to understand how the app is being used and to display community stats. This includes:

• Total number of active users (anonymized count only)
• Aggregate statistics (total perfect days achieved across all users, total glucose readings tracked)
• Country information (derived from your device's region settings)
• Days of data users have (aggregate statistics only)

This analytics data does NOT include:

• Your individual glucose readings or any health data
• Your name, email, or any personally identifiable information
• Your LibreLinkUp credentials
• Any data that can be linked back to you as an individual

How We Use Your Information

Your health data and settings are used exclusively to:

• Display your current and historical glucose readings
• Calculate statistics such as average glucose and time in range
• Track achievements and streaks
• Provide personalized goal tracking

Data Storage

All of your data is stored locally on your device using:

• Core Data: For glucose readings and statistics
• UserDefaults: For app settings and preferences
• Keychain: For secure storage of your LibreLinkUp credentials

If you enable iCloud backup on your device, this data may be included in your iCloud backups.

Data Sharing and Transmission

We never see your health information. Your health data is never transmitted to us or any third party. Your health information remains:

• On your device only - stored locally using Apple's secure storage
• Under your complete control - you can delete it anytime by deleting the app
• Private and confidential - we have no way to access individual glucose readings
• Never uploaded - no individual health data leaves your device except when connecting directly to LibreLinkUp

The app makes two types of external connections:

• LibreLinkUp: Direct connection between your device and LibreLinkUp servers (owned by Abbott, not us) using your credentials to fetch your glucose data. We are not involved in this connection.
• Anonymous Analytics: Minimal aggregate statistics (user count, total perfect days, etc.) are sent to our analytics service. This data contains no health information and cannot be linked to you as an individual.

Data Security

We take data security seriously:

• Your LibreLinkUp credentials are stored using Apple's Keychain, the most secure storage method available on iOS
• All data remains on your device and is protected by your device's security measures (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID)
• We use secure HTTPS connections when communicating with LibreLinkUp servers

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: All your data is accessible within the app
• Delete: You can delete the app at any time to remove all locally stored data
• Export: Contact us if you need help exporting your data

Third-Party Services

Glucose Smash uses LibreLinkUp to retrieve your glucose data. Your use of LibreLinkUp is subject to Abbott's privacy policy and terms of service. We are not responsible for Abbott's data handling practices.

Children's Privacy

Glucose Smash is intended for use by individuals managing their glucose levels. If a parent or guardian uses the app to track a child's glucose levels, the parent/guardian is responsible for managing the data and consenting to this privacy policy.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
